My how time flies...

I can't believe the last time I put an entry on here it was just after New Years! Sorry about that entry...I think I kind of raved on a bit didn't I? Anyway...here we are at the end of another month...again! Looks like this year is going to go just as quickly as last year.
Well I have had my trip to N.S.W. with the children for Mum's 70th. It was a good week and I was able to catch up with a coupld of friends also...briefly! Mum had a good day. It was just family as she clearly stated as her birthday wish. We ended up at a local tavern and had a great pub meal. We wanted to go to a different restaurant but it was closed, so was the next one she thought of, so the tavern it was. Good food and great value for money, Mum's ideal day out! We went back to her house for coffee and cake...or should I say crumble, apple crumble, as she is soooo fussy on bought cakes as she can't stand any cream or custard etc...and this was the only option for Dale, who had the job of buying her b'day cake. It all went down well though and was absolutely lovely too. Still can't believe she is 70. Definitely doesn't act it...which is a good thing I guess! The rest of the week was spent catching up with my brothers, spending some quality time with Mum, and seeing a couple of close friends for a feew hours here and there. Yaz had three sleepovers, she was very busy socially! Then after a very fast week, it was all over and we were heading back on the plane, back to Ian and Ramses who both seemed very pleased to see us and have the noise and destructiveness around them again!

Now in a few days it's Ians 41st birthday! Then Julian's 6 days after then Baileys 4 days after that! Busy, busy, busy again!Bailey returns back to school tomorrow, I return back to the gym...for a workout and work, and Yaz is back to school Wednesday. Then everything is back to reality and living a structured life again until the next lot of holidays!

Yesterday we celebrated with some friends, Nicky and Sean, who became Australian citizens. We attended the official ceremony and then headed back to theirs for a good old Aussie b.b.q. It was a good day...a long one too. It started at 10.00am and we got home around 11.00pm. Today was Australia Day, so a public holiday, a chance for all of us to just relax and read,(me!), spend hours on the computer,(Yaz!), spend hours on the wii,(Bailey!), and watch never ending hours of cricket!,(Ian). I love days like these!

We're not sure what we're doing for Ian's birthday this coming Saturday but we will definitely do something fun and you will know all about it next Sunday!
